The film includes unseen footage from his personal archive and world travels, including his contact with gurus such as Sai Baba and Mother Theresa, as well as his lectures and events he attended. Some of the scenes he filmed himself.)
A LITTLE OF HIS STORY
Professor Hermógenes was born in 1921 in Natal, RN. He currently lives in Rio de Janeiro. Around the age of 10, he had an experience which he considers to be his first contact with the principles of yoga that would rule is life in the future.
While bathing at the edge of the sea he was pulled by the current and almost drowned, not being able to swim. Suddenly, he saw a boy swimming in his direction. The savior said, “do not try and help me or hold on to me. Simply soften.” He obeyed. He surrendered to the circumstance and was able to be saved.
In that instant, Hermogenes understood the lesson put forth. “I learned to live quietly, peacefully and to accept positively the difficulties life imposes, in order to transform them into learning opportunities.
